Job description

Unit Description: At Porter Medical Center Emergency Department, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that strives to deliver highly skilled and compassionate care to all of our patients.

The Emergency Department is a fast paced, exciting and very unpredictable 10- 12 bed unit. We are dedicated to ensuring that you are successful and have a positive experience during your orientation.

During your first six months we will sign you up for BLS/ ACLS, and ideally within your first year ENPC (emergency nurse pediatric course), TNCC (trauma nurse core course) and PALS (pediatric advanced life support). These courses enhance your ED nurse tool kit but are better taken after gaining some experiences to relate them to.

On-call: Not required.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
