Meal Assistance Attendant – Support and Accompaniment (Asicc-Med – Mobile Health) Location: Quebec City, Eastern Townships (home and partner establishments) Contract type: Full-time or part-time (permanent/fixed-term contract depending on needs) Hours: Day, evening or weekend depending on assignments and availability Salary: Up to $24+ (bonuses, transportation reimbursement, etc.) About Asicc-Med – Mobile Health: At Asicc-Med, we believe that eating is an essential moment of well-being and dignity. Our meal assistance attendants support people experiencing a loss of autonomy so that they can maintain their comfort and quality of life, both in care facilities and at home. Your responsibilities: Assisting beneficiaries during meals (setup, preparing the space, assistance with eating). To provide support tailored to the individual's level of autonomy. Ensure the safety of beneficiaries during feeding (prevention of aspiration, observation of swallowing). Stimulate and encourage beneficiaries to actively participate in the meal when possible. Follow specific dietary plans and medical/nutritional guidelines. Maintain a clean, pleasant and friendly environment during meals. Observe and report any changes in the beneficiary's appetite or general condition. Desired profile: Experience in personal assistance, food assistance or in the health field (an asset, but not required). Empathy, patience and active listening. Ability to work with people who are losing their independence or who have physical/cognitive limitations. Keen observation skills and rigorous adherence to food and safety guidelines.
