Summary:
Mujin is the future of industrial robotic systems in production and distribution environments. Our technology gives robots perception and awareness, enabling them to take on more advanced tasks. We aim to revolutionize the use of robotics within industry to free human resources from labor-intensive tasks to focus on more intellectual challenges.
We are seeking a General Counsel for Mujin USA (MUSA) who will oversee all legal matters, provide strategic legal advice, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal person will have both commercial, intellectual property and technical transaction experience. They will also have experience in a fast-paced environment. Due to the nature of this role, you must also be able to collaborate with our global team and handle multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously. This role will report to the Global Chief Legal Officer.
Position Description:
This position is critical to safeguarding Mujin Corporation's legal and regulatory integrity. In this role, your primary duties include:
  • Legal Advisory and Compliance: Provide guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and ethical business practices to ensure the company operates within local, state, and federal laws interviews
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with suppliers, customers, employees, and business partners
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal risks, conduct internal investigations, and recommend preventive measures to minimize exposure
  • Corporate Transactions: Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions by conducting due diligence, preparing documentation, and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Represent the company in legal proceedings or manage external counsel when specialized expertise is required
  • Policy Development: Oversee the creation and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with departments such as Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to provide legal input on strategic decisions

Position Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and active bar membership. Georgia membership desired.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in either Law firm and/or corporate in-house handling complex legal matters and negotiating contracts associated with capital intensive business matters.
  • Ability to assess complex legal issues, provide sound advice, and make strategic decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters concurrently and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, demonstrate diplomacy, and work well with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to handle and advance multiple projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting documents, advising management, and negotiating agreements

  • 5+ years' experience in a related industry
  • Intellectual Property experience

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
  • Travel Requirement: Less than 15%,
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
