The role ensures consistent, accurate, and timely messaging across internal and external audiences, supporting leadership communications, outreach initiatives, and mission visibility. This position integrates content development, executive communications, and multi-channel messaging to improve coordination, strengthen engagement, and enable informed decision-making across the organization. What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities) * Develop and execute strategic communication plans aligned with organizational priorities and objectives. * Draft and refine communication products, including talking points, briefings, reports, and messaging materials. * Support executive communications by consolidating inputs, editing content, and preparing leadership-ready materials. * Coordinate public affairs and communication activities to ensure consistency in messaging and branding. * Plan and support outreach events, communication campaigns, and stakeholder engagements. * Manage and update communication content across digital platforms, publications, and presentations. * Produce visual communication products, including graphics, reports, and multimedia materials. * Maintain communication workflows to ensure timely development, review, and dissemination of materials. * Support stakeholder engagement efforts through preparation of materials, coordination, and documentation. * Maintain communication standards, templates, and processes to ensure consistency across teams. * Track communication activities and develop reports to support performance visibility and continuous improvement. What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements): * Active Secret security clearance. * 12+ years of experience in strategic communications or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (8–10 years with Bachelor’s degree; 6–8 years with Master’s degree). * Experience supporting communications in federal, DoD, intelligence, or cyberspace environments. * Experience supporting public affairs, communications, or outreach programs within federal or defense environments. * Familiarity with DoD communication processes, policies, and coordination with Public Affairs Offices. * Demonstrated experience developing and executing communication strategies across multiple audiences and platforms. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level materials. * Experience developing communication products, including reports, briefings, and multimedia content. * Ability to coordinate across stakeholders and manage multiple communication efforts simultaneously. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging. Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications): * Experience developing digital content, including web, multimedia, and data visualization products. * Experience supporting executive communications and senior leadership engagements. * Experience planning and executing events, conferences, or stakeholder engagements. $130,000 - $150,000 a year This position is tied to a federal proposal effort. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of the customer's onboarding and security requirements.
