A multimedia technician is responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of audio, video, and multimedia reproduction equipment, such as printers, binding machines, and poster makers. In this career, your duties also include helping clients review layout specifications before printing. You help other office workers install AV systems, ensure that the setup is correct, and troubleshoot any technical issues. In some contexts, such as in multimedia technician positions at colleges, universities, or theaters, you may help record a performance or lecture. In addition to technical responsibilities, you are also responsible for ensuring that inventory and supplies are in stock and that all machines are in good working order.
