POSITION SUMMARYThe Media and Content Specialist serves as the primary visual storyteller for Wasatch Academy. This position is responsible for creating engaging digital content that strengthens the Academy's brand, supports enrollment and advancement efforts, and showcases the daily student experience.The position manages the Academy's social media platforms while producing professional photography, videography, graphic design, and multimedia content for digital and print marketing. The role requires creativity, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to capture the authentic energy of boarding school life.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport Wasatch Academyโ€™s mission, values, institutional goals, and educational philosophy.Manage the dynamic content for social media distribution to drive traffic to the school website.Develop and execute a comprehensive content calendar.Create engaging posts, stories, reels, and short-form video.Monitor engagement and respond appropriately to comments and messages.Capture professional photography and videography of academics, athletics, arts, residential life, and special events.Produce promotional and storytelling videos for marketing campaigns.Edit photos and videos for multiple platforms.Maintain an organized digital media archive.Design graphics for social media, website, email marketing, admissions, advancement, and campus communications.Ensure visual consistency with Wasatch Academy brand standards.Assist in the development of marketing campaigns and promotional materials.Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications to execute strategic marketing initiatives.Contribute ideas for campaigns, storytelling, and content strategy.Assist with website content updates and digital marketing projects as needed.Manage and publish our Wasatch Weekly newsletter to families.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications.REQUIREDBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Photography, Multimedia, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.Strong photography and videography skills.Experience editing photo and video content.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) or equivalent creative software.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Valid driver's license.PREFERREDExperience with a variety of camera systems.Experience flying drones (FAA Part 107 certification is a plus).Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and social media analytics.Experience working in education, athletics, or nonprofit marketing.Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
