What does a multimedia content manager do?

A Multimedia Content Manager oversees the creation, organization, and distribution of multimedia content across digital platforms. They manage teams of designers, videographers, and writers to ensure content aligns with brand strategies and engages target audiences. Their responsibilities often include content planning, editing, publishing, performance analysis, and collaborating with marketing and communications departments. The role requires strong project management, creative, and technical skills to deliver compelling visual and audio material. Ultimately, they help organizations reach their goals through effective multimedia storytelling.

What are some common challenges faced by multimedia content managers when coordinating projects across different teams?

Multimedia Content Managers often work with multiple departments such as marketing, design, and IT, which can lead to challenges in aligning project timelines and ensuring consistent messaging. Balancing creative vision with technical feasibility and stakeholder expectations requires strong organizational and communication skills. Additionally, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to rapidly changing priorities are common aspects of the role, but they also offer valuable opportunities for skill development and cross-functional collaboration.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a multimedia content manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Multimedia Content Manager, you need expertise in digital content creation, project management, and a background in communications, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, and analytics tools is typically required. Strong creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills set top performers apart in this role. These competencies are crucial for producing engaging multimedia content, meeting organizational goals, and adapting to dynamic digital environments.

Position Overview

The Events & Experiences team is seeking an experienced Keynote Content Producer to help shape the creative content behind Autodesk's most important live experiences. This role will support keynote content across Autodesk's growing portfolio of flagship events, including Autodesk University (AU), One Team Conference (OTC), TechX, and other emerging programs.

As part of the Worldwide Marketing organization, you'll partner across Executive Communications, Product Marketing, Brand, Creative, and production agency teams to transform ideas into memorable live experiences. From presentation design and customer stories to multimedia content, product demonstrations, and executive presentations, you'll bring together the many creative elements that define Autodesk's keynote experiences.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, production, and project management. You'll orchestrate complex content workstreams, build alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders, anticipate challenges before they impact delivery, and play a key role in delivering some of Autodesk's most visible moments for customers, partners, employees, and industry audiences around the world.

Successful candidates are equally comfortable building detailed production plans, collaborating with creative teams, influencing without direct authority, and adapting quickly in the fast-paced environment of live events.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Keynote Strategy and cross-functional stakeholders to produce engaging keynote experiences, translating approved messaging into compelling presentation, multimedia, and demonstration content

  • Manage the end-to-end production of keynote content across Autodesk's flagship event portfolio, ensuring presentations, videos, product demonstrations, customer stories, motion graphics, and supporting assets are delivered on schedule and ready for live presentation

  • Drive alignment across Executive Communications, Product Marketing, Brand, Creative, event teams, and agency partners, connecting stakeholders, facilitating decisions, and influencing outcomes across teams without direct authority

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for presentation design, motion graphics, video production, and other creative agency partners, providing creative feedback, managing production timelines, and ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout the production lifecycle

  • Develop and maintain integrated workback schedules across keynote presentations, multimedia content, demonstrations, and creative asset development

  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, competing priorities, and critical decision points across keynote content workstreams; surface issues early and partner with stakeholders to drive solutions and keep programs moving forward

  • Manage content milestones including script development timelines, table reads, creative reviews, executive approvals, technical integration, rehearsals, and final show delivery

  • Coordinate presentation reviews, asset approvals, executive feedback cycles, and version control across multiple stakeholders and production partners

  • Support keynote rehearsals, presentation integration, technical run-throughs, and onsite content readiness, ensuring all creative assets are show-ready for live delivery

  • Lead post-event content retrospectives and debriefs, documenting lessons learned, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating insights into actionable changes for future programs

  • Develop and maintain repeatable processes, templates, playbooks, and production best practices that improve creative quality, stakeholder experience, and delivery efficiency as Autodesk's keynote function continues to evolve

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in live event production, keynote production, creative production, executive presentations, or a related field

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with multiple interdependent workstreams and competing deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to build alignment and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct authority

  • Experience proactively identifying project risks, dependencies, and decision points and driving issues toward resolution

  • Experience working with external creative agencies or production vendors

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to deliver results while maintaining accountability under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with executive-level stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional partners at all levels of an organization

  • Demonstrated ability to operate comfortably at both the strategic and execution levels, with sound judgment about when each perspective is required

  • Collaborative, service-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute wherever needed to support the success of the broader team and keynote program

  • Adaptable and open-minded approach to joining an established team, with the ability to learn existing processes and ways of working before recommending improvements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during critical production periods and travel approximately 25-30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting executive keynote presentations for large-scale conferences or corporate events, either from the client or agency side

  • Experience managing presentation design, video production, motion graphics, or multimedia content development

  • Experience coordinating live product demonstrations or technical presentations

  • Knowledge of live event production workflows, rehearsal planning, and show integration

  • Experience working within enterprise technology or B2B marketing organizations

  • Experience developing scalable production processes, playbooks, or best practices across multiple programs or events

  • Passion for visual storytelling and creating memorable executive experiences through live events
