Position Summary

Responsible for creating engaging multimedia content, executing day‑to‑day social media publishing, and supporting digital storytelling across GWH’s channels. Working closely with the Marketing and Public Relations (PR) team, this role captures the GWH mission in action, highlights retail and donation initiatives, and fosters positive community engagement online.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and schedule engaging visual and written content (short‑form video, graphics, photos, captions) across all primary GWH social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to routine comments and messages in a timely brand voice, and flag sensitive inquiries for management review.
  • Monitor and assist with drafting responses for local review platforms, including Google and Yelp.
  • Partner with DGP and Workforce Development (WFD) teams to gather field content, highlight store promotions, and capture client success stories.
  • Coordinate logistics for creator/influencer partnerships, including product sourcing, outreach tracking, and content scheduling.
  • Collect photo, video, and written assets for internal and external storytelling, including GWH News and newsletter features.
  • Track baseline performance metrics (engagement rate, reach, follower growth) and prepare monthly snapshot reports.
  • Support general marketing, community event activations, and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs.

  • Must perform all duties according to GWH safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping standards, and ensure all walkways are clear and free of clutter.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum experience managing social media accounts, producing digital content, or running institutional/brand channels (internship or freelance contract experience accepted).
  • Familiar with multi‑social posting through programs such as Buffer, Hootsuite, and HubSpot.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
  • Basic graphic design and mobile video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar tools).
  • Ability to work alongside a diverse group of team members while working toward many company initiatives.
  • Entry‑level understanding of marketing strategy and how to use the concepts throughout various forms of outreach.
  • Strong written communication, storytelling, and copy‑editing skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned work locations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment. GWH does not offer visa sponsorship for employment purposes.

  • Consistent publishing cadence across active platforms (maintaining agreed‑upon monthly content calendar goals)
  • Timely social community engagement and escalation of customer service inquiries

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to spend most working hours at a computer.
