What We Need

The Multimedia Specialist serves as a core technical and creative contributor to the studio's video operations. This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of community and marketing assets, including high-fidelity game capture, on-set production, and post-production editing. Working under the guidance of the Marketing Content Lead, the Associate ensures that video content for internal studio communications and external marketing channels aligns with the studio's creative vision and 2K's global publishing standards.

What You Will Do

  • Game Capture & Visual Asset Creation: Execute professional-grade in-game capture, ensuring all visual settings, frame rates, and performance benchmarks meet the highest standards for marketing and archival use.
  • Studio Production: Support on-set shoots for developer interviews and studio content; operate cameras, manage professional lighting setups,  and oversee teleprompter operations.
  • Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit video assets for owned and social platforms (e.g., Web, X, Instagram, YouTube) using the Adobe Creative Suite, including basic motion graphics, captioning, and audio leveling.
  • Live Broadcast Engineering: Assist in the management of the on-site broadcast suite, helping oversee signal flow, hardware configuration, and real-time stream encoding for live events.
  • Technical Maintenance: Maintain studio hardware and software readiness, ensuring all equipment is updated and technical documentation (signal flow, checklists) is current.
  • Internal Communication Support: Produce and edit internal video content for executive showcases and milestone reviews; provide A/V support for studio-wide meetings and developer roundtables.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with studio leads and 2K publishing partners to ensure content deliverables meet established messaging and timing goals.
  • Asset Security: Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols when handling unreleased game footage and sensitive stakeholder presentations.

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in video production, live broadcast, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of digital cinema cameras, professional audio signal flow, and studio lighting principles.
  • Live Production: Experience with or exposure to live streaming software such as OBS or vMix.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage own tasks and timelines across multiple simultaneous projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Firaxis titles and legacy franchises (Civilization, Marvel Midnight Suns, XCOM) and the strategy game genre.
  • Basic understanding of 4K/HDR workflows and motion graphics.

Physical Requirements

  • Equipment Handling: Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and maneuver photo and video equipment, including cameras, lighting kits, and grip gear, weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • On-Site Presence: This role requires regular on-site attendance at the Sparks, MD studio to manage physical production spaces and equipment.

The pay range for this position in Maryland at the start of employment is expected to be between $68,600 and $101,540 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits.
