Job description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the engineering deliverables related to site development, including grading, drainage, roadways, and paving for our facilities. This role will wear multiple hats to ensure that all civil engineering documents are produced accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
This position will report to the Civil Engineering Manager. This position is located in our Downtown Houston office and is a Monday-Friday in-office position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and produce civil sitework engineering deliverables, including calculations, quantity takeoffs, technical reports, drawings, and specifications. Serve as the responsible engineer of record, providing final review, signature, and seal on completed civil documents.
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, subconsultants, project controls, and project management to ensure alignment across all project phases.
  • Support all aspects of civil design and engineering as needed to deliver accurate, high-quality work while meeting project schedules and milestones.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of civil engineering experience within oil, gas, chemical, or LNG facilities, ideally in an EPC environment.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Ability to obtain a Louisiana PE license within four months of hire (current Louisiana PE or NCEES Record strongly preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Software & Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Experience using hydrology and hydraulics modeling tools that support integrated, to-scale site drainage design (e.g., EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, Storm & Sanitary Analysis, InfoDrainage).
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D (preferred but not required).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
