Operations Manager

Company: 6th Avenue Hospitality

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: On-Site, Full-Time

About Us

6th Avenue is a dynamic and growing hospitality management company operating approximately 20 restaurant and café locations across Southern California, with continued expansion on the horizon. Our organization oversees about 30+ legal entities and supports a workforce of approximately 400 employees across a diverse portfolio of restaurant brands. We are committed to operational excellence, innovation and delivering exceptional guest experiences while fostering a collaborative, high-performing workplace.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager supports the Regional Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple coffee shop locations, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, operational efficiency, exceptional hospitality, and a positive team environment.

This role serves as a key operational partner to the Regional Manager, working closely with Store Managers, Shift Leads, baristas, vendors, and the executive operations team. The Operations Manager will help maintain smooth business workflows, monitor operational performance, manage inventory and supply chain activities, support staffing and training, and implement processes that improve consistency, productivity, and customer experience across all locations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on support in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the Regional Manager and oversee multiple coffee shop locations, driving operational excellence, efficiency, accountability, and consistent business performance.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day field operations, identifying operational problems quickly and implementing practical solutions to keep stores running efficiently.
  • Conduct frequent on-site store inspections covering staffing, equipment, inventory, cleanliness, maintenance, safety, security, quality, and overall operational performance.
  • Monitor store productivity, labor utilization, inventory levels, waste, ordering, and operating costs, taking corrective action when performance falls below expectations.
  • Coordinate the movement of ingredients, supplies, equipment, and other operational resources between locations to maintain uninterrupted store operations.
  • Work directly with vendors, suppliers, contractors, maintenance providers, and internal teams to resolve equipment, facility, delivery, and operational issues.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot commercial equipment and other store equipment, coordinate repairs or replacement when required.
  • Lead store managers and team members in executing company standards, operational procedures, safety requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Lead new store openings and major operational projects, overseeing equipment installation, inventory setup, vendor coordination, staffing, training, inspections, and all aspects of final store readiness.
  • Respond to urgent store issues, equipment failures, staffing shortages, supply problems, and other operational situations that require immediate on-site attention.
  • Travel regularly between company locations and business-related destinations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

[Required Qualifications]

  • 4+ years of professional experience in retail, food & beverage, hospitality, coffee, or multi-unit operations management.
  • Korean-English bilingual proficiency required for effective communication with employees, vendors, partners, and leadership.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation, as the role requires frequent travel between company locations and occasional emergency site visits.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently between company locations based on business and operational needs.
  • Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, early mornings, or non-standard hours when operational situations require support.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-location environment while effectively managing competing priorities.

[Preferred Qualifications]

  • Experience supporting or managing multiple locations, teams, or business units simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial coffee equipment, (including espresso machines and grinders), POS systems, and inventory management software.
  • Basic troubleshooting or maintenance capability for commercial equipment and store facilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Benefits

  • Free daily lunch
  • Employee dining discounts
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Opportunities for professional growth within a rapidly expanding hospitality organization
