Being a Multi-Unit Manager at Andy’s Frozen Custard is an opportunity to lead one of our most important markets inside a growing, high-performance organization.
We are looking for a proven multi-unit operator who is equal parts coach, competitor, and culture builder. This person should have the presence to command a room, the humility to jump behind the counter, and the discipline to follow through until the standard is met.
The right leader is charismatic, driven, highly organized, and deeply invested in developing people. They know how to create accountability without losing trust, inspire teams to perform at a higher level, and build a culture where people want to win for each other.
This role requires a leader who is comfortable spending significant time inside the stores, observing the details, coaching in real time, developing General Managers, and ensuring that operational and financial expectations are consistently met.
Our mission is: “Serving our community and its people by creating an environment that promotes memories through our superior product and exceptional staff.”
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop General Managers across the Dallas market to deliver exceptional guest experiences and strong business results.
  • Build a high-performing leadership bench through coaching, development, succession planning, and internal promotion.
  • Establish clear expectations and create a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong presence inside the stores and actively coach leaders and teams in real time.
  • Identify operational opportunities quickly and ensure action plans are developed, communicated, and followed through to completion.
  • Drive consistent execution of company standards, systems, and initiatives across every location.
  • Review store conditions, guest experience, staffing, productivity, and key business indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Own market-level performance including sales, transactions, labor, profitability, staffing, and operational execution.
  • Analyze financial reports and operating data to identify trends and develop strategies to improve results.
  • Partner with General Managers to improve underperforming locations and sustain high-performing stores.
  • Monitor management staffing levels and proactively develop talent for future leadership needs.
  • Create strong communication and alignment between store leadership, senior operations leadership, and ownership.
  • Partner effectively with Marketing, Finance, Training, Maintenance, and other support functions.
  • Build relationships within the local community and represent Andy’s Frozen Custard professionally.
  • Solicit and respond to guest feedback to better understand the needs of customers and the communities we serve.
  • Be actively working inside the market’s stores a minimum of 3–5 days per week and maintain a visible presence on store schedules.
  • Model the pace, professionalism, attention to detail, and ownership mentality expected from every leader in the market.
Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, or another high-volume service environment.
  • 3+ years of successful multi-unit leadership experience.
  • Proven experience directly overseeing approximately 6–10+ locations.
  • Experience leading and developing General Managers and other salaried leaders.
  • Proven success building leadership pipelines and succession plans.
  • Experience improving performance in underperforming locations.
  • Responsibility for market-level sales, labor, staffing, profitability, and P&L performance.
  • Experience analyzing financial and operational reports and converting data into action.
  • Experience leading in a complex, fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Preferred Background
A background in competitive athletics, coaching, military leadership, or another high-performance team environment is a plus.
We value leaders who understand preparation, discipline, teamwork, competition, resilience, and what it means to coach people toward a higher standard.

Leadership Profile

  • A natural coach who enjoys developing people and helping leaders become better than they thought they could be.
  • Charismatic and able to build relationships quickly across different personalities and levels of the organization.
  • Kind and approachable while maintaining very high standards.
  • Confident, composed, and capable of creating accountability without relying on intimidation or ego.
  • Competitive and motivated by measurable results.
  • Highly attentive to detail and able to identify small issues before they become larger problems.
  • Energetic and comfortable spending significant time working alongside teams inside the stores.
  • An excellent communicator who can inspire a team while also having direct, difficult conversations when necessary.
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through.
  • Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership without waiting to be told what to do.
  • A servant leader who is willing to work beside the team and never considers themselves above store-level execution.
  • Someone who creates an environment where people respect the standard, trust their leader, and want to perform at a high level.

Basic Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Dallas market regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong multi-unit operational leadership skills.
  • Excellent coaching, team-building, and leadership development abilities.

  • Ability to interpret P&Ls, labor reports, sales trends, staffing data, and operational metrics.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Exceptional follow-through and personal accountability.
