Multi Modality Ultrasound Tech PRN

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs quality ultrasound procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist of all ages. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards, radiation safety guidelines.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assist and position patients.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Release the patient with proper post-procedure instructions.
  • Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Registered with A RDMS or registry eligible with A RDMS (Must comply with ACR)
  • If Registry eligible, must become registered within 2 years of graduation from accredited ultrasound program
