As the Senior Manager, Maintenance and Facilities, you'll lead and direct a staff of maintenance employees and will coordinate all maintenance activities on an assigned work shift. How You’ll Create Possibilities
  • Provide active day-to-day leadership for a skilled multi-craft maintenance team.
  • Review work schedules and manpower requirements required for production needs.
  • Develop employees’ skills through coaching, feedback, training and support.
  • Evaluate staff and make employment recommendations.
  • Address employee complaints, and document conversations and discussions as well as discipline, if required.
  • Partner with site Human Resources team to ensure fair and consistent administration of all policies, work rules and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal codes related to safe maintenance work practices as measured through internal department compliance audits and safety records.
  • Ensures that staff is trained in complex maintenance activities and follow standard operating procedures as measured by skill assessments and work order audits.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities in the assigned area with other departments to ensure company objectives are being met as measured by key performance indicators.
  • Balance workloads and resources to achieve maximum results.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Engineering personnel for unscheduled and scheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment, assisting plant operations with engineering solutions, commissioning, and product launches.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team as needed on appropriate problem resolution.
  • Provide aid in troubleshooting and downtime response – including electrical wiring, machine controls hardware/software, PLC and high/low voltage power distribution.
  • Respond to emergencies as requested; coordinates activities with other responders; directs the work of staff and utilize resources to make the necessary repair in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Maintain a good technical knowledge of operations; follow the escalation process to address and respond to abnormalities and recommend corrective action as required.
What You’ll Bring to Our Team
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology or related field.
  • 7+ years' maintenance, engineering or operations experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair operations associated with electrical systems, electronics, fabrication, hydraulics, injection molding, mechanical drives, pneumatics, robotics, stamping, welding, assembly and conveyor systems, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or related technical field preferred
  • Experience with budgets, costing, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Strong computer skills - high proficiency in Microsoft Office products with the ability to grasp new systems quickly.
  • Experience with OSHA and EPA requirements related to maintenance and manufacturing facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other shifts to solve maintenance problems.
  • Ability to lead and influence a team of skilled maintenance employees.
  • Ability and willingness to take extreme ownership of all maintenance responsibilities on assigned shift and within department.
  • Active listener with effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and track equipment issues to perform root cause analysis and correct issues as timely as possible.
  • Ability to implement plans to control and maintain safety, quality, 5S, cost, and efficiency for assigned areas.
  • Strong organization, time management, and planning skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Willing and flexible to work weekends, holidays and shutdowns as necessary.
