Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Cloud Engineer to provide technical support for mission-critical broadcast systems operating within secure cloud environments. The successful candidate will support the deployment, administration, automation, and troubleshooting of cloud-based infrastructure and broadcast technologies while ensuring system availability, performance, and security.
This position combines cloud engineering, systems administration, software development, and operational support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with AWS cloud services, Linux administration, scripting, and cloud automation, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in highly secure environments. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions supporting critical broadcast capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support and engineering expertise for cloud-hosted broadcast systems and associated infrastructure
• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot secure cloud-based environments with stringent security requirements
• Configure, integrate, and support AWS cloud services and APIs
• Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts using Python and shell scripting languages
• Administer Linux-based systems including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring
• Perform server installations, firmware upgrades, validation testing, and system troubleshooting
• Support cloud engineering efforts involving AWS MediaLive, DynamoDB automation, and cloud platform operations
• Monitor system health, identify performance issues, and provide troubleshooting support across cloud environments
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve operational processes, automation capabilities, and troubleshooting toolsets
• Ensure compliance with security, operational, and infrastructure standards in classified environments

Mandatory Skills
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of cloud-based networks with very high data security requirements
• Demonstrated experience with AWS and cloud services, including API configurations and integrations
• Demonstrated experience with programming languages including Python, Linux Shell, C++, and Windows Shell
• Demonstrated experience with operating systems such as Linux and Android
• Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python, C++, and Perl
• Demonstrated experience with system administration including Linux RHEL, patching, server installations, firmware upgrades, and testing between firmware and patch levels
• Demonstrated experience with cloud engineering including AWS MediaLive, automating DynamoDB table updates, troubleshooting cloud platforms, and supporting cloud troubleshooting toolsets
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
• Experience supporting secure enterprise environments and mission-critical systems

• Demonstrated experience with analog and digital communications systems including satellite, terrestrial television, AM radio, and FM radio
• Demonstrated experience with video codecs and streaming technologies
• Demonstrated experience with video encoding equipment and encoding workflows
• Demonstrated experience supporting broadcast systems and signal distribution technologies
• Demonstrated experience with IP network routing and switching
• Demonstrated experience performing installation, configuration, and operational support of broadcast equipment
• Familiarity with media transport technologies and cloud-based content delivery systems
• Experience developing automation and operational support tools for cloud environments

Education
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
