Staff Engineer II - MuleSoft

Location:

What you'll do:

As a Staff Engineer II - MuleSoft, you'll provide expertise across a suite of technical tools and products to ensure solutions are safe, secure, compliant, and reliable. In this role, the candidate will work on our Digital Asset Platform, helping design, develop, and support scalable integration solutions that enable critical business capabilities. You'll identify development and support needs, take on design responsibilities for project tasks, and facilitate collaboration across teams both within and outside your domain. You'll also develop effective presentations and narratives that clearly communicate technical solutions, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead the strategic planning of a project as it relates to technical solution design.
  • Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.
  • Build APIs using RAML or Open API, following enterprise API governance and naming standards
  • Secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, TLS, and policy enforcement via API Manager
  • Design, develop, and maintain System, and Process as well as apply enterprise error handling, logging, and monitoring standards
  • Support UAT, production releases, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures while also ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards. Develop desktop procedures when needed that others follow.

What you'll need:

  • 7 years in design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of MuleSoft APIs with specific experience with MuleSoft 4.x Anypoint and CloudHub
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in production support, incident management, and root cause analysis
  • Experience defining API standards and leading technical design discussions as well as API-led connectivity patterns
  • Experience using Agile and iterative development practices
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools or practices to improve delivery efficiency
  • Experience with CI/CD and version control (Azure DevOps)
  • MuleSoft Certification (Developer Level 1 or above) preferred
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
