Title: Carpenter, Level 3

Job Type: Hourly

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Rate: $25


Position Summary: The Carpenter will use woodworking skills to build and repair various furniture pieces.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Collaborates with employees concerning furniture build job orders, prints, and sketches to understand the furniture piece that needs to be built or repaired.
  • Estimates equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job.
  • Operates all necessary tools to complete a job including table saw, planer, joiner, drill and nail gun.
  • Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
  • Removes debris and possible hazards to keep construction site clean and safe.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Certifications:

  • 5+ years of furniture building experience
  • Completion of formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications for projects.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend in order to reach all areas of the facility.
  • Must be able to work in and on overhead structures, as well as below machinery.

Educación, Experiencia y Certificaciones:
