Job description

We provide high-quality, customer-focused de-watering and fluid transfer solutions. With decades of expertise, our pump division delivers comprehensive solutions from design to on-site installation, system monitoring to dismantle and demobilization, and manufactures over 50% of our products in-house.

This position works in a dynamic environment with high expectations for project execution in safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance. The role requires accuracy, initiative, and strong multitasking skills. Performance in complex design criteria for high volume and high head trash pumps, testing and evaluation, field testing, and collaboration with manufacturing, sales, and management are critical focus areas for the Pump Engineer.

Essential Functions
  • Work independently and as part of a team supporting existing products, testing and evaluating equipment, performing mechanical failure analysis, and providing technical assistance across Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing
  • Create statistical and mathematical models for analysis and simulation; collect and analyze data to identify trends and relationships
  • Prepare and present research results to engineers, managers, and clients
  • Interpret design specifications and support concept development, design, documentation, fatigue analysis, fabrication, and testing of pumps
  • Develop innovative solutions by exploring alternative techniques and recommending intellectual property opportunities
  • Review standards, regulations, and specifications for testing and reliability analysis, ensuring proper application
  • Ensure all components follow Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles using a systems-based approach
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines regarding standards and calculation techniques
  • Apply advanced engineering methods to meet complex design requirements, develop test specifications, and support HSE considerations during design processes

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Prior field or industry-related experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong leadership and influence capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

  • Work is conducted across construction sites, equipment yards, and operational environments
  • Regular exposure to heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment
  • Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind
  • Physically demanding environment with uneven terrain, dust, mud, and high noise levels
  • Combination of shop-based and field responsibilities, including travel to job sites
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols is required at all times
  • PPE such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection must be worn as required
  • Work may involve confined spaces or elevated positions
  • Lifting heavy components and materials may be required
  • Adaptability is required as job conditions and priorities may change
Travel Required
  • Position may require several hours of driving daily to job sites and pump locations
Physical Demands
  • High level of physical stamina and mobility required
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of equipment up to 50 pounds or more
  • Regular bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Prolonged standing and walking on uneven terrain such as gravel, dirt, or pavement
  • Climbing in and out of trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Ability to work from heights and maintain balance
  • Manual dexterity required for controls and documentation
  • Must safely operate vehicles and remain alert in active environments
  • Occasional pushing and pulling of heavy materials
