Position Summary
The Summer Lift Attendant is responsible for all operational, safety, guest service, and teamwork aspects at the lift. They will be responsible for summer sightseers, dinner guests, Zip Tour guests, and mountain biking guests. Lift Attendants will assist the Mountain Patrol staff in emergency situations. Lift Attendant is an outside job and staff need to be able to work outside in all weather conditions (with or without reasonable accommodations).
All Lift Operations employees must be able to demonstrate success in safety awareness and be able to work as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up the maze every morning and prepare the lift for opening, including signs, benches, bike racks, etc.
  • Maintain loading and unloading ramps and decks, including keeping the areas around ramps swept and free of obstacles.
  • Complete the daily lift log and review lift logs before submitting them.
  • Report lift maintenance issues.
  • Maintain clean lift shacks, turning any Lost and Found items to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor and assist each guest as they load and unload the chair, including Patrol and guests with special loading needs.
  • Facilitate, load, and unload both guests and bikes at each station
  • Inspect the lift line regularly, including checking sheaves and alignment of assemblies, possible obstacles to the lift line, haul rope, and grips.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in trash removal throughout the mountain or any other projects assigned.
  • Additional duties are assigned as necessary.

Specific Job Skills
  • Physical Capabilities: Able to remain standing outside in all weather conditions (with or without reasonable accommodations).
  • Additional: Summer Lift Attendants must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Education / Related Experience
  • Minimum education required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
