Position Summary:    
Ness is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering, with a strong product engineering background and a passion for engineering and creating products to solve business problems.

Responsibilities:

   -    Provide technology leadership, vision, and guidance to the engineering and product development teams and drive innovation in product development
-    Deliver customer-focused business outcomes using Java full-stack/Cloud computing (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS) with at least one industry deep domain experience
-    Manage P&L, Gross Margins and help grow the business with superior delivery
-    Ensure timely delivery of all projects and be responsible for managing any scope change and convert this to revenue from the customer
-    Lead customer relations and management at the organization level
-    Ensure positive business outcomes by providing predictability, productivity and quality through defined processes that increase speed-to-value, institutionalize the use of Agile practices in a sustainable manner, and include the development of roadmaps that increase value over time
-    Identify and evaluate opportunities for organization-led innovation and development to deliver solutions that meet internal and external stakeholder requirements
-    Lead talent transformation charter (retaining and attracting top talent, upskill, cross-skill, certifications, etc.)
-    Work collaboratively with all the peers (i.e., Vertical Heads) to ensure organizational goals are met
-    Will be responsible for growing Halifax nearshore engineering center
-    Support M&A activities and own integration of the acquired entity in NA/LATAM

Pivotal Experience & Expertise    -    A coach, leader, mentor, thinker and an innovator
-    Hands on expertise in converting a product roadmap to an engineering roadmap 
-    Expertise in product lifecycle development and played varied roles in various stages of the lifecycle for the last 20+ years
-    Extremely customer-centric and ability to lead customer relations and management at the organization level
-    Up to date with the industry and new and emerging technologies 
-    Tech savvy and “build” mindset. Passionate about IP building and development
-    Experience with IP Led transformation models (Assets, Frameworks, Accelerators, POCs, Patents etc.)
-    Hands on experience in product engineering, design, and architecture and should be able to guide the team during pre-sales and execution 
-    Flexible and willing to embrace change and contribute to a culture that promotes innovation
-    Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
-    Excellent people management and leadership skills. Maintain high standards of work practices and ensure integrity, respect and confidentiality at all times
-    Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to Global Leadership
