The School of Nursing offers BSN, MSN, PhD, and DNP degrees in nursing. Additionally, the School has an alternate entry MSN for persons with baccalaureate degrees outside of nursing, and an accelerated BSN to PhD option. Assistant Professor Positions
*Preference will be given to applicants with active grant funding or those with promising grant scores.
Successful Candidates are Expected To:
  • Develop and/or maintain a research program in nursing/health science.
  • Teach and advise undergraduate and/or graduate students.
  • Provide service to the school of nursing, the university, the community and the profession.

Required Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate
  • Evidence of post-doctoral training
  • Strong track record of data-based publications
  • Evidence of, or strong potential for an extramurally funded program of research in the areas of oncology, gerontology, cardiovascular, or health informatic technology.

Strongly Preferred:
Eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Texas
