JOB SUMMARY Mt. San Jacinto College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach for Women's Cross Country to lead and develop a competitive program within the CCCAA (California Community College Athletic Association). The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, compliance, and athlete development, while promoting academic success and sportsmanship.

We invite candidates to join the Associate Instructor (Physical Education/Intercollegiate - Coaching - Women's Cross Country) pool. Applications meeting the minimum qualifications will be stored electronically for six (6) months following verification. Coaching & Program Development: Plan and conduct effective training sessions, practices, and competitions to develop student-athletes. Implement conditioning programs to enhance endurance, strength, and injury prevention. Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team environment that supports student-athletes' academic and athletic growth.

Develop race strategies and provide in-depth feedback to athletes. Recruitment & Student-Athlete Development: Identify, evaluate, and recruit student-athletes who meet academic and athletic standards. Develop relationships with high school coaches, club programs, and local running communities to recruit top talent.

Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and assist with retention and transfer opportunities. Compliance & Program Administration: Ensure compliance with CCCAA, IEAC, and MSJC rules regarding eligibility, recruitment, and competition. Coordinate scheduling, travel arrangements, and race-day logistics for competitions.

Manage the program budget, including fundraising efforts, materials and supplies purchasing and cloth purchasing. Work collaboratively with the Athletic Department, support staff, and campus administration. Public Relations & Community Engagement: Serve as a positive representative of MSJC Athletics within the college and local community.

Promote the program through media, social media, and campus outreach. Engage in fundraising efforts and community service activities to support program development. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS Applicants must upload only the documents listed below.

If selected, employment commencement is contingent upon successful enrollment in the District's DMV Pull Program.

Employees enrolled in the DMV Pull Program MUST continuously maintain a driving record that meets District requirements set forth in the current policy as it relates to allowable types of infractions and points. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience coaching at the collegiate, high school, club or community college level CCCAA or NCAA experience ACADEMIC EQUIVALENCY Minimum qualifications for Faculty and Administrators for California Community Colleges are established by the Chancellor's Office. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications to teach in a desired discipline but feel that they possess the equivalent of qualifications, may attach an Application for Equivalence.

Applicants who claim equivalent qualifications shall provide conclusive evidence that they possess qualifications that are at least equivalent to those required by the minimum qualifications. The conclusive evidence must be as clear and reliable as college transcripts.
