Who are we hiring?
Sphere is seeking a Manager, Studio Technical Support to lead the design, implementation, and operational support of infrastructure and technical systems that support studio production. This role partners closely with Corporate IT, engineering, security, and studio teams to develop scalable, efficient technical solutions that enable high-quality production outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership, translating business needs into practical solutions, optimizing workflows across the production pipeline, and guiding execution across complex cross-functional initiatives
What will you do?
  • Lead a team of engineers supporting studio infrastructure, production systems, and software deployments.
  • Partner with Corporate IT, Venue IT, Studio Technology, and Information Security teams to design and implement streamlined infrastructure and technical solutions supporting studio production initiatives.
  • Architect and implement scalable, efficient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and cloud partners to develop systems, workflows, and technical solutions that support production activities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate, recommend and help implement new technologies and projects aligned with studio technical project requirements.
  • Research and recommend products, platforms, and technical solutions based on studio project requirements and evolving production needs.
  • Partner with studio departments to understand workflow challenges and identify opportunities to improve production efficiency across the pipeline.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?
  • 7+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure and production within a film, television, or episodic post-production environment.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams or engineers.
  • Extensive experience designing, architecting, and maintaining infrastructure supporting complex file-based media production and post-production workflows.
  • Strong experience working in a studio environment and supporting technologies such as Nuke, Mistika, Scratch, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Cloud, Unreal Engine, Baselight, RV, Deadline, OpenCue, ShotGrid/Shotgun, Signiant, Aspera, Pixstor, Qumulo, or similar production and media transport technologies.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with software deployment and automation using Ansible.
  • Systems development and automation experience using Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting remote workstation and connection workflows, including Leostream, HP Anyware, TGX, or NICE DCV.
  • Experience designing, building and supporting hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Experience adhering to TPN, PCI, and other data security standards.
  • Strong technical leadership with the ability to align teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive technical initiatives to completion.
  • Strong situational awareness and technical judgment to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production environments.

This role requires a "production-minded" and customer centric work ethic helping to maintain the high level of quality associated with the MSG Sphere.
