Job description

Medical Physicist
Location: Olean General Hospital
Location of Job: US:NY:Olean
Work Type: Full-Time
Shift 1

Job Description
The physics staff is involved in the overall quality assurance of the clinic. They work with the machine service staff to ensure the linear accelerators are functioning at an optimum level. They perform periodic quality checks on the machine and work with dosimetry to evaluate the radiation plans. They also review patient charts on a weekly basis.

Education And Credentials
PhD or MSc from an accredited program in Medical Physics or related field required. NYS licensure Medical Physicist - Therapeutic Radiological required.
Experience
Experience with 3-D conformal radiotherapy and treatment planning systems is required, and IMRT/VMAT essential. Experience and knowledge of calibration of linear accelerators and periodical quality assurance required.
