Job Description
Systems (Solutions) Architect Level II (N. Houston)
The ideal candidate will manage building systems that run the day-to-day functionality of the Houston locations, as well as other sites. This role has the opportunity to influence the management on the processes and technology introduced to the business line. The activities are not restricted to monitoring systems from behind a desk, but offer the chance to physically support and interact with facilities management on devices and systems found throughout the Campus, including underground and in the tunnels.
Technologies in scope of this assignment today:
• ICONICS - Building Automation System that allows facilities' operators to monitor the health of all the equipment on the Houston Campus (e.g. backup diesel engines, HVAC system, etc.); Plans to expand services to other sites, such as Calgary & Dallas
• Houston Campus Traffic Control - Traffic Management System to monitor and track vehicle speed violations; Continuous improvement to an application built in-house with opportunity to convert an Access-based application to a more user-friendly web application
• Lake Management system - Monitors water levels in the Campus lakes in order to stay in compliance with government regulations
• Parking Management system - Parking System using sensor-based technology for parking availability across Campus; Plans to replace underlying software with a new solution
Qualifications
