DIRECT HIRE

Senior Buyer

Are you a strategic buyer who can negotiate savings, manage suppliers, and find smarter ways to source materials and services?


Our client is seeking a Senior Buyer to support procurement for a multi-site manufacturing environment. This role will manage sourcing and purchasing for indirect materials, MRO, capital equipment, tools, packaging, services, and related categories.


Responsibilities

Manage assigned purchasing categories and sourcing initiatives.

Source MRO parts, equipment, tools, packaging, services, and supplies.

Prepare and review RFPs, proposals, contracts, and purchase orders.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and supplier agreements.

Develop new suppliers based on quality, delivery, pricing, and capabilities.

Analyze costs, market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

Evaluate supply risks and develop alternative sourcing options.

Manage supplier relationships and performance.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers across multiple locations.

Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with policies and contracts.

Occasional travel up to 25%.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or related field preferred.

3+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or category management experience.

Proven negotiation and supplier management experience.

Strong cost analysis and market knowledge.

Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.

SAP experience highly desirable.

Experience with international suppliers preferred.

Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Results-oriented, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
