Education Requirements:

Education required:

  • Registered ARRT (R)(MR)
  • Licensed in the state of Illinois (IEMA)
  • Bachelor's degree. 

Experience Requirements: 

  • At least 2 years of employment as an MRI Technologist
  • At least 1 year teaching MRI or related courses, with experience teaching virtually

Job Description: The Radiologic Technology Program is seeking adjunct faculty to join the Radiologic Technology Department as an MRI instructor.

Essential Duties:

  • Teach online MRI procedures course as needed in the Fall semester.
  • Lead/participate in weekly online (synchronous and asynchronous) discussions with students
  • Possess a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
  • Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources.
  • Maintain expertise and certifications appropriate to teaching responsibilities.
  • Grade and provide detailed feedback on all assignments within a timely manner.
  • Actively respond to student emails and requests within 24 hours.
  • Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
  • Verify student enrollment and submit grades
