At Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine, we re dedicated to providing exceptional orthopedic care through advanced medical techniques, cutting-edge technology, and a patient-centered approach. Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine has seven (7) practice locations throughout the Atlanta metro area, including a cutting-edge surgical facility in Chamblee, GA. We are also located in Jacksonville, FL, Greenville, SC, and Houston, TX. We are one of the few Georgia practices to offer both a stand-up MRI and an open MRI. In addition, we have state of the art diagnostics tools including digital X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and a hyperbaric chamber.

We are expanding our practice and have a unique opportunity for an experienced Physiatrist to join our growing team at our newest location in Henderson, NV. You will work with a variety of patients and assist them in restoring optimal physical function and help them improve their quality of life. Many of our patients are affected by acute injury. The physiatrist will primarily care for patients with back and neck pain, musculoskeletal problems, and acute/sub-acute spine disorders. You will also work with patients from a diverse payor source.

This position offers Monday-Friday office hours and no weekends or calls (although weekends are available if desired). All procedures are performed in-house, and we utilize in-house imaging (x-ray, MRI, and CT scanner). We utilize a comprehensive, non-chronic opioid treatment plan to get our patients better.

Responsibilities:

  • Skilled and proficient in the following:
    • Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural injections, including cervical selective nerve root blocks
    • Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar facet injections, SIJ injections, medial branch blocks
    • Cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and SIJ branch blocks and RFA
    • Occipital nerve blocks
    • Ganglion impar blocks
    • Interarticular hip injections, piriformis injections
    • PRP injections
  • Collaborate with a team of orthopedic surgeons and physiatrists.
  • Supervise a team of medical professionals, including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.
  • Commute to more than one clinic periodically as needed.
  • Experience with clinical and spinal injections is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine or Interventional Spine (board certification a plus).
    • Sprots Medicine fellowship accepted on a case-by-case basis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Personable, a team player, and possesses a passion for improving the health and well-being of their patients.
