Advanced Radiology is one of the largest independent radiology practices in the tri-state area with the most experienced radiologists. We look for team members who want to grow and be professionally challenged, while enjoying a rewarding, caring, and friendly environment. We are looking for a per diem MRI Technologist to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications.


Schedule - Per diem - Weekend hours in Stratford and Shelton area


The technologist will perform MRI exams in accordance with exam procedures and protocols using independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care. The technologist will also be responsible for assisting Radiologists with special procedures such as arthrograms, reviewing all necessary documentation related to the procedures, and setting up patients, operating equipment, and performing related clinical and administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs MRI procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality and timeliness.
  • Escorts patients to treatment room and assists with dressings as necessary.
  • Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of MRI services.
  • Explains MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions.
  • Administers I.V. contrast.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Completes related paperwork and obtains interpretation by radiologist.
  • Conducts quality control measures to monitor machine performance and reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the site manager.
  • Focuses on customer service and uses courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors to maintain a professional atmosphere.


Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types.
  • Siemens, GE experience preferred.
