BAS Field Engineer

Startup | Commissioning | Building Automation Systems

We're seeking an experienced BAS Field Engineer to lead startup, commissioning, and project delivery for commercial Building Automation Systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing complex HVAC automation systems online, solving challenging technical issues, and ensuring projects are successfully commissioned from startup through owner turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Perform BAS startup and commissioning
  • Verify system operation and sequences of operation
  • Troubleshoot DDC controllers, networks, and HVAC equipment
  • Optimize system performance and resolve integration issues
  • Complete customer training and project turnover
  • Coordinate with project managers, electricians, mechanical contractors, and end users
  • Support successful project completion from installation through commissioning

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Building Automation Systems experience
  • Experience commissioning commercial BAS projects
  • Strong HVAC mechanical knowledge
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
