Job description

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus

Summary

Independently provides excellent patient care in accordance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology. Operates mammography equipment and performs procedures in accordance to department policies and procedures. Operates within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and the "Clinical Practice Standards" established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist. Assist other areas and shifts as needed.

Education

Satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.

Licensure/Certification

Valid registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in mammography or meet MQSA quality standards (MQSA Sec 900.12 Quality standard (a) (2). Valid Radiologic Technologist license with the Indiana State Board of Health. Valid CPR Certification. Must maintain MQSA technologist requirements of 15 mammography continuing education credits in a 36 month prior to each MQSA inspection and 200 mammography examinations 24 months prior to MQSA inspection.

Experience

Previous experience preferred, but not required, or previous experience in a similar role

Other Qualifications

Knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures of breast imaging. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
