Job description

Are you looking for an innovative, fast-paced, and rewarding opportunity to expand your career?

If so, look no further! Good Greek Moving & Storage is expanding its team of professionals. Known as an industry leader in the moving industry, Good Greek offers residential and commercial moving, storage, junk removal, auto transport, real estate services, and premier concierge services.

The Operations Dispatch Coordinator is a hands-on, hybrid role within our operations team. This position works closely with our moving crews, customers, sales team, and leadership to ensure every move is coordinated from start to finish, while also supporting day-to-day warehouse and fleet operations. This is not a desk-only dispatch position. The right candidate will be comfortable moving between dispatch responsibilities, the warehouse, and the fleet as operational needs require. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, communicates well, provides excellent customer service, and is willing to step in wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong documentation and data entry skills
  • Strong phone and customer service skills
  • Comfortable making and receiving customer calls
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
  • Dependable, energetic, and able to multitask
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • 1–3 years of dispatch, logistics, or operations experience preferred
  • Previous experience working for a moving company preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate company vehicles as needed
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
  • Must be able to pass required drug screening and meet company driving eligibility requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 70 pounds as needed, including moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, pads, and other operational supplies
  • Ability to work on your feet and move throughout the warehouse and yard for portions of the workday
  • Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments and assisting with hands-on operational tasks as needed

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily moving jobs
  • Schedule moving crews and trucks
  • Maintain driver/helper relationships
  • Ensure adequate capacity for daily jobs
  • Answer incoming calls and make follow-up calls
  • Contact customers regarding schedules, ETAs, payments, and service updates
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes and shipment documentation
  • Monitor drivers and ensure DOT compliance
  • Track driver locations and daily activities
  • Communicate with customers, sales, and operations to ensure smooth service
  • Assist with resolving customer service issues
  • Oversee the daily flow of crews, trucks, equipment, and materials in and out of the facility
  • Assist with supervising move activity arriving at or departing from the warehouse, including staging, loading, unloading, and operational coordination
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and operationally ready warehouse, yard, and equipment areas
  • Issue and receive operational equipment and supplies, including dollies, hand trucks, moving pads, straps, tools, and related materials
  • Monitor fleet movement, truck readiness, keys, equipment, and vehicle assignments throughout the day
  • Perform routine fleet readiness checks and communicate vehicle or equipment issues to management
  • Assist with the company preventive maintenance program, including coordinating and, when required, transporting company vehicles to and from approved maintenance or service locations
  • Support warehouse inventory, equipment accountability, and general operational organization
  • Provide hands-on operational support when needed; this role requires active involvement beyond computer-based dispatch and vehicle tracking

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Regularly move between office, warehouse, yard, and fleet areas throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds when handling equipment or operational supplies
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform light-to-moderate physical tasks as operationally required
  • May work in warehouse or outdoor conditions during portions of the shift
  • Must be willing and able to assist with fleet, warehouse, and operational needs in addition to dispatch duties

Job Type

  • Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
  • Hourly Position

Compensation & Benefits

  • $21.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Paid training
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company
