Right-of-Way (ROW) Program Coordinator

Job description

About the Role

Victor Energy is looking for a ROW Program Coordinator to join our growing Right-of-Way department.

This is a dedicated ROW position that works across multiple projects, helping keep planning, GIS, access, environmental, land and field activities organized, connected and moving forward.

The role works closely with the ROW Manager, ROW field and office staff, project teams and clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of coordination, keep priorities and follow-up moving, and help keep the different parts of the ROW group working together.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ROW activities, priorities and information across multiple projects.
  • Keep action items, decisions, commitments and follow-up moving between field and office teams.
  • Maintain departmental schedules, trackers, dashboards and planning tools.
  • Coordinate meetings and ensure required follow-up occurs.
  • Support project startup, planning and mobilization activities.
  • Coordinate information between GIS, access, environmental, land, construction and project teams.
  • Maintain and improve ROW procedures, standards, templates and workflows.
  • Identify gaps, risks or issues that need attention and help move them toward resolution.
  • Support reporting, documentation, project deliverables and field planning as required.

Requirements

The Person We're Looking For

We're less concerned with finding someone who has already done this exact job and more interested in finding someone with the right strengths, judgment and work style for the role.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is naturally organized and can keep multiple priorities moving without losing track of the details.
  • Takes initiative, works well independently and follows things through to completion.
  • Communicates clearly and builds good working relationships with both field and office teams
  • Uses good judgment to identify issues early, take action, involve others when needed, and help drive practical solutions.
  • Is adaptable and comfortable in a construction environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Looks for better ways to organize, communicate and carry out the work.
  • Enjoys creating structure, keeping people and information connected and helping the overall team succeed.

Relevant Experience

Relevant experience may come from transmission, utilities or heavy civil construction; forestry or ROW; survey, geomatics or GIS; environmental or land work; or project coordination, field operations and planning.

A good understanding of construction projects and how field and office teams work together is more important than having held a specific job title.

Nice to Have

  • Transmission line, utility or ROW experience
  • ROW or access planning experience
  • GIS or ArcGIS familiarity
  • Environmental, land or permitting knowledge
  • Experience working within project management systems and structured project workflows
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and Excel skills
  • Experience with trackers, dashboards, document management or digital field systems
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Extended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, & Dental)
  • Group RRSP
  • Group Life - AD&D - Critical Illness Insurance
  • Training & Development
  • Employee Assistance Program - Counseling
