Job description

Asphalt Contractors, Inc. is hiring an experienced Concrete Crew Foreman to oversee daily field operations on commercial, municipal, and site concrete projects throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in leading crews, staying productive in the field, and delivering quality workmanship on every project. We are looking for a dependable leader who can manage people, coordinate work activities, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Position Overview

The Concrete Foreman is responsible for directing field crews, coordinating equipment and materials, reviewing plans and layout information, and ensuring projects are completed according to company standards and project schedules.

Projects may include:

  • Sidewalks
  • Curb & gutter
  • Concrete paving
  • Flatwork
  • Commercial site concrete
  • Municipal concrete improvements
Primary Duties
  • Manage and direct daily activities of field concrete crews
  • Organize manpower, trucking, tools, and equipment needs
  • Review blueprints, elevations, and job specifications before and during construction
  • Maintain production goals while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Monitor jobsite safety and enforce OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Coordinate with project management, inspectors, subcontractors, and customers on-site
  • Assist crews in the field as needed in a working foreman capacity
  • Track progress and communicate jobsite updates to management
Desired Experience & Skills
  • Prior experience supervising concrete construction crews
  • Strong understanding of commercial and municipal concrete work
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and grading information
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL preferred but not required
  • Spanish/English bilingual communication skills are a strong advantage
