Electrical Inside Sales Representative โ€“ Contractor Sales

We are seeking an Electrical Inside Sales Representative to support our contractor and commercial customer base in Findlay, Ohio. In this role, you will work closely with customers, vendor partners, and outside sales teams to provide responsive service, accurate quoting, and solutions that help customers complete their projects successfully.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical distribution, contractor sales, or inside sales, or a motivated professional looking to build a career in electrical supply and construction sales.

Compensation

Base Salary: $50,000 โ€“ $73,500 depending on experience
Average Annual Commission: $2,500 โ€“ $5,000

Total Compensation Potential: $52,500 โ€“ $78,500+

What Youโ€™ll Do

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in supporting contractor customers and ensuring projects move forward efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a primary point of contact for contractor and commercial customer accounts
  • Preparing quotes and managing customer orders, changes, and delivery coordination
  • Providing pricing, product availability, and order support for electrical materials
  • Supporting outside sales representatives with project quotes and customer needs
  • Sourcing non-stock products and coordinating with vendor partners and purchasing teams
  • Tracking open orders and expediting shipments to meet jobsite timelines
  • Communicating proactively with customers regarding order status, delays, and solutions
  • Identifying opportunities to recommend additional products or alternatives that support customer project needs
  • Collaborating with internal teamsโ€”including operations, finance, and materials managementโ€”to ensure accurate and timely delivery

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or a pattern of continuing education preferred. High school diploma required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree or pattern of pursuing a degree.
  • High degree of knowledge of electrical distribution operations and/or similar product knowledge; two or more years of experience in operations, counter sales or in the electrical distribution industry preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks at own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills with MS Office products preferred with thorough knowledge of the business system preferred.
