SUMMARY
Performs all job functions to pack and/or hand stack cases to insure that cases are processed efficiently according to company guidelines, and insures that cases and pallets meet all production criteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Packer
  • Form packing boxes and place individual packets into cases according to prescribed counts.
  • Assist Machine Operators in running packaging machines. May perform Machine Operator duties on a temporary, fill-in basis

Stacker
  • Stack cases of product from conveyors to pallets; adhering to book of drawings for pallet configuration.
  • Change date on date coder daily.
  • Tape damaged cases, or return them to machine operators
  • Keep cases square and tight on pallet.
  • Sort damaged and overrun cases.

Packer/Stacker
  • Complete, verify, and maintain legible and accurate reports and other documents
  • Monitor quality standards and advise machine operators of any issues.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Maintain prescribed standards of safety, training and quality.
  • Maintain regular, dependable and reliable attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies.
  • Complete all other assigned duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, feel and lift; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee must wear proper safety equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
SUMMARY OF JOB: This position cleans, sanitizes and maintains audit readiness in multiple assigned areas and other areas of the building. Responsible for sanitizing of machinery and cleaning of production and warehouse areas. May include operating CIP (Clean in Place) system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for sanitation of equipment and cleaning of assigned areas in Production and/or Warehouse. Equipment includes machines, pumps, valves and tanks. Areas for cleaning include ceilings, walls, and floors.
  • Cleans by CIP system kettles, tanks, lines, pumps, pipes, floors, walls and other areas and types of equipment as assigned
  • Dismantles and reassembles hoses, connections, clamps, pumps, lines, or pipes and clean per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Performs routine maintenance, such as gasket replacement, O-Ring replacement, fill tube straightening, pump seals, lubrication of parts and fitting replacement.
  • Maintains current knowledge for use of all chemicals used. Handles cleaning chemicals according to MSDS and safe handling procedures; Tests chemical concentrations in COP Systems and documents results in titration record.
  • Knowledge and understanding of chemicals, cleanliness, and odors • Visual acuity needed for color-coded equipment for cleaning and chemicals
  • Mechanical ability required for break down and reassembling of all equipment during sanitation process.
  • Knowledge of safe work habits to ensure proper use of safety equipment provided.
  • Responsible for communicating and working well with fellow employees.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work well with little supervision. Previous sanitation experience as well as mechanical ability desired. Must be able to work additional hours as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalency desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to communicate to management critical needs and concerns regarding job duties.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability needed to record necessary information.
REASONING ABILITY: Thorough understanding of overall job position needed to prioritize required daily duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Any mechanical training to assist in breaking down and reassembling machinery is desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. Constant climbing, bending and reaching. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Area is very wet with chemicals being used. Emptying and cleaning of trash containers required. Must able to work with a variety of chemical compounds without incurring adverse reactions. Environment can be wet and temperatures unpleasant, which at times may prove undesirable.
