Job description

Monte Rosa Therapeutics Research Associate  Contractor for 6 months  to support the development and characterization of novel molecular glue degraders for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. As part of the Immunology and Preclinical Pharmacology team, this role will broadly support multiple immunology and inflammation (I&I) projects/programs from early lead optimization through clinical-stage.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background working in I&I and a demonstrated ability to move projects/programs forward through collaborative teamwork.


  • Design, optimize and execute experiments using a variety of primary immune cells and tissues isolated from human, mouse or cynomolgus monkey (including PBMCs, monocyte-derived macrophages, whole blood, synovial fluid, peritoneal fluid, etc.)
  • Routine profiling of compounds using Meso Scale Discovery (MSD), ELISA, Western blot, Simple Western (Jess), flow cytometry, qPCR assays
  • Ex vivo mouse tissue processing (spleen, bone marrow, lymph node, etc.)
  • Maintain timely and detailed notes using electronic lab notebook

  • BS/MS equivalent in Immunology or Cell Biology with 3+ years of hands-on experience in I&I drug discovery research, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting
  • Experience handling whole blood, primary immune cells and tissue (preferably including clinical samples)
  • Experience in protein detection/quantitation methodology (e.g., MSD, ELISA, Western blotting, Jess)
  • Flow cytometry expertise is preferred
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, GraphPad Prism (FlowJo is preferred)
  • Collaborative attitude, strong attention to detail, ability to optimize/master experimental techniques
