  • Clean, paint, coat, engrave, and register molds in the system as per SOP.

HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the worlds mining and exploration industry. We are located in Richmond, BC.
We are seeking candidate for the following position-


Mold Cleaning (AM shift; 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM)

Mold Cleaning is the process of cleaning and checking molds before using it in production. The purpose of this procedure is to describe the basic steps needed to follow and maintain good quality on mold cleaning procedure. The Mold Cleaner is responsible for preparing recycled mold / new molds.


RESPONSIBILITIES (Subcategorise if necessary, list in numerical order):


  1. Follow Mold retrieval procedure (for new and used molds).
  2. Check for cracks or damages on the used molds.
  3. Check the inside diameter of used molds against specifications using calipers.
  4. Reject and discharge damaged/off specs molds in accordance with SOP.
  5. Register rejected molds information in the inventory system.
  6. Engrave new molds as per SOP.
  7. Clean all used molds with the assigned hand tools.
  8. Paint and coat molds as per SOP.
  9. Register in the system all molds completed (cleaned and painted).
  10. Maintain a safe and high housekeeping standard at work station.
  11. Maintain a constant communication with the SR Coordinator and report if there are issues with work/tools/materials.
  12. Ensure all tools and materials are available to perform your duties. If not, report immediately to your Lead Hand/SR Coordinator
  13. Any other duties required by SR Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Competent in the English language and able to communicate efficiently.
  • Able to use computer to record data.
  • Normal hand dexterity and no physical impairment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and provide constructive feedback.

Working Conditions

  • Able to work flexible shifts.
  • Must not be allergic to dust, graphite or metal compounds.
  • Able to wear Half-Mask Respirator PPE.
  • Able to work sitting down for the duration of the 8 hours shift.
  • Able to lift/move weights up to 22 kg with mechanical aid if needed.
  • Able to work alone or in a team.
  • Must have legal working status in Canada.
