Your role at Clorox:

The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a molding operator position at our Atlanta Main facility, this role is fully responsible for operating and adjusting all the equipment associated with the molding operations. This facility uses automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute Home Care and Laundry products. The successful candidate must demonstrate and sustain proficiency in areas of Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Production, and Cost.
Starting Hourly rate: $25.40 with a shift differential (if applicable for overnight hours). Shift-12hr. schedule, operating in a 2-2-3, in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. Offering excellent compensation and benefits package.

In this role, you will:

Safety

Treats safety, quality, environment, and housekeeping as non-negotiable.

Works safely as a fully trained Molding Technician.

Responsible for operating and adjusting all the equipment associated with the molding operation.

Performs specified periodic quality checks, understands quality requirements, and makes equipment adjustments safe to meet those standards.

Prepares production, downtime, quality reports, and other associated paperwork as required.

Completes all routine mechanical troubleshooting on molding equipment, bottle handling, and support equipment.

Performs all required safety and housekeeping audits.

Completes BBS observations, CIF, and Safety CIF in a timely manner.

Participate in department safety incident investigations.

Identify safety issues and immediately implement countermeasures, involving the right resources.

Fosters an environment and attitude that delivers zero risk, zero near misses, zero treatment reports, and zero LT cases.

Quality

Understands and adheres to proper hold procedures during each hold event for bottle quality.

Communicate quality issues to the right resources and respond in a timely fashion.

Perform regular in-line quality checks accurately.

Ensure all quality equipment (BIS system, code daters, etc.) is always functioning.

Delivers world class results in all areas of quality.

Production

Work closely with other departments (packaging, maintenance, shipping, planning, etc.) to ensure all issues impacting production are communicated and resolved promptly

Execute schedule changes per established guidelines working with scheduling, distribution, and materials groups.

Ensure proper start-up and shutdown of production equipment (use of checklists).

Ensure assigned PM's, CIL's, and centerlines and other checks are completed on each equipment.

Displays correct sense of urgency to find and fix all abnormalities and other operating issues.

Participate in shift exchange meetings between shifts.

Handle proper equipment adjustments as needed by us for problem solving tools.

Rotating with other team members to perform all tasks within the department.

Demonstrates ability to organize work area to the 5S standard.

Forklift license required.

Must be able to perform basic PMs such as bearing and chain lubrication, inspection of components for wear, maintenance of pneumatic system components, etc.

Possess effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Work respectfully with a diverse group and build constructive collaboration.

Must have the initiative and enterprise to tackle problems without supervision and develop creative solutions.

Strong commitment to plant's non-negotiable and company's core values.

Supports area improvement projects and equipment installation that drive plant metrics.
