Job description

Description:

We are looking for an injection molding technician/engineer for our Indianapolis, Indiana facility.  The technician/engineer will be responsible equipment maintenance, mold maintenance support, insert material control, and quality and floor management. 

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily routine inspections of the injection molding line and manage processing condition data.
  • Mold Maintenance Support: Inspect insert molds, assist with pin wear parts replacement, and support high-precision maintenance.
  • Insert Material Control: Monitor the feeding status of inserts (spring wires) and take standard troubleshooting actions as needed.
  • Quality & Floor Management: Aggregate mass-production defect data (such as burrs, short shots, terminal deformation, etc.) and maintain production floor 5S standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree or higher (majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines).
  • Experience: 3 or more years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret basic 2D and 3D CAD technical drawings.
  • Mindset: Proactive attitude toward manufacturing floor operations and a strong willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills (Plus Factors)

  • Certifications: Holder of relevant technical certifications (Equipment Maintenance, Electrical, Welding, Injection Molding, Mold/Die Design, etc.).
