As part of the Open Road Collision, DBA Franks Collision, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality collision repair services with exceptional customer care. Our team is dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident conditions while making the repair process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team.


This role is focused on hands-on mechanical repairs and maintenance, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating properly. The ideal candidate is experienced in diagnosing issues and performing mechanical repairs efficiently and accurately.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues and needed repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and fluid checks
  • Repair or replace mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, suspensions, and exhaust systems
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using tools and experience
  • Complete repairs in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards
  • Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation
  • Keep accurate records of work performed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use standard shop tools and equipment
  • Basic understanding of vehicle systems and repair procedures
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to work in a shop environment (heat, noise, fumes)
  • Ability to safely operate tools and equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Body Technician experience a plus
