Position Summary

The Motorcycle Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining Harley-Davidson motorcycles while delivering exceptional workmanship and efficiency. Technicians are expected to perform repairs correctly the first time, communicate effectively with Service Advisors, and maintain high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, fuel, suspension, and drivability concerns.
  • Complete repairs according to Harley-Davidson factory specifications.
  • Utilize Harley-Davidson Digital Technician and service information.
  • Perform warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough multi-point inspections on every motorcycle.
  • Recommend additional maintenance or repair opportunities to improve customer safety and motorcycle performance.
  • Test ride motorcycles when appropriate to verify repairs.
  • Accurately document all work performed on repair orders.
  • Maintain productivity and efficiency goals established by dealership management.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and OSHA compliant.
  • Properly care for dealership equipment and customer motorcycles.
  • Attend required Harley-Davidson training and dealership meetings.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure excellent communication throughout the repair process.
Qualifications
  • Motorcycle repair experience preferred
  • Harley-Davidson experience is a plus but not required
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong diagnostic abilities
  • Basic electrical diagnostic knowledge
  • Valid motorcycle endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain
