Adventure Tours is excited to announce part-time openings for Line Run Operators at our growing Richmond, VA location! In this role, you'll operate our luxury motor coaches on long-distance routes connecting Richmond with Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Charlotte.
Our Line Run Operators are more than drivers - they're the face of our brand and the reason our passengers keep coming back. We're looking for customer-centric operators who take genuine pride in making every trip smooth, safe, and welcoming, and who know that a warm greeting and clear communication can turn a routine commute into a great experience. With multiple daily departures on our Richmond line, there's a range of route slots to fit into - giving you variety in your workday while we match schedules to business needs. Many of our runs are round-trip, which can mean the chance to return home the same evening - actual assignments are made based on business and route needs day to day.

For over 25 years, Adventure Tours has been a leading name in luxury motor coach transportation, built on a simple promise: get people where they're going safely, comfortably, and with genuine care along the way. Headquartered in Accokeek, MD, we've grown into a multi-state operation with locations in Charlotte, NC, Philadelphia, PA, Long Island, NY, and now our newest hub in Richmond, VA.
As we expand, we're building a team of operators who take as much pride in the passenger experience as they do in the drive itself - because at Adventure Tours, great service is what sets us apart. As a Line Run Operator, you'll also have the potential to earn gratuities, adding to your overall compensation.
Compensation
  • Day Routes: $275/day
  • Evening/Night Routes: $300/day

Part-Time Schedule & Flexibility
  • Part-time schedule: Friday through Monday
  • Up to 30 hours per week
  • Flexible weekend-focused schedule

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate motor coaches on scheduled routes, ensuring on-time performance.
  • Deliver exceptional, friendly customer service to passengers - answering questions, easing concerns, and making every rider feel welcome.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and hours.

Requirements :
  • Must have a Commercial Class B License (CDL) with passenger endorsement, air brake, and a valid Medical DOT certification.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in transporting passengers commercially, preferably with motor coaches.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills - you enjoy interacting with passengers and representing the company well.
  • Ability to handle stress and remain calm in emergency situations.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts within the Friday-Monday schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
