Job Summary/Description:
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Motion Graphics Artist to support our newsroom's daily and long-term visual storytelling. This position will be responsible for creating compelling motion graphics for newscasts, digital platforms, and special coverage, while also helping edit and refine headlines for daily newscasts.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create motion graphics, animations, opens, transitions, explainer graphics, maps, charts, and other visual elements for newsroom content.
- Build graphics for daily newscasts, breaking news, severe weather coverage, investigations, elections, sports, and special projects.
- Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Work closely with producers, anchors, reporters, photographers, digital teams, and newsroom managers to support daily coverage.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience creating motion graphics, animations, or video graphics for broadcast, digital, social, or related media.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with spelling, grammar, names, locations, and facts.
- Ability to work well under deadline pressure.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar creative software.
