Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking a Graphic Designer III to provide senior-level multimedia, desktop publishing, graphic design, visual communications, and presentation support to meet ONR Corporate Strategic Communication Department requirements.

The Graphic Designer III will perform senior-level design functions, including concept development, complex layout design, multimedia production, and quality review of design products prior to Government delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Multimedia & Desktop Publishing Support: Provide timely multi-media, desktop publishing, and presentation support to meet ONR Corporate Strategic Communication Department requirements.
  • Content Design & Production: Create, edit, design, format, and maintain internet and intranet pages, blogs, social media websites, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, graphic design and artwork, infographics, video production, photographs, photo captions, video descriptions, social media content, articles, audiovisual presentations, video news releases, "b-roll" video clips, and videotaping in support of communication products and services.
  • Senior Design Leadership: Perform all Graphic Designer II functions at a senior level, including concept development, complex layout design, and quality review of design products prior to Government delivery.
  • Software & Tooling: Provide multi-media support for digital media using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Bridge), Apple Motion and/or Adobe After Effects, Apple DVD Studio Pro, Apple Color, Apple Live Type, or new versions/upgrades as required.
  • Style Compliance: Ensure all content is developed in accordance with appropriate style guides, including but not limited to Associated Press, Navy, and ONR styles.
Required Qualifications

This position requires all the qualifications of the Graphic Designer II, including:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Experience gathering information and materials, planning concepts, managing workflow, and scheduling.
  • Experience illustrating concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy, obtaining concept approval, and preparing finished copy and art for typesetting and printing.
  • Ability to prepare final layouts by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
  • Experience completing projects that require coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
  • Demonstrated creative graphic design and layout skills, creative services skills, customer focus, flexibility, attention to detail, deadline orientation, and demonstrated ability to manage challenging customer service issues.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in graphics, fine, or visual arts/communications from an accredited institution and at least ten (10) years of experience in graphic design and/or a related communications field.
