Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our onsite rehabilitation facility in Portsmouth, VA, you will work in a dynamic and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children to assess their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and practices tailored to each child’s developmental milestones and physical limitations.
  • Regularly monitor and reassess patients' clinical signs and symptoms to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with company standards, including SOAP notes and progress summaries, using our electronic medical record system in a timely manner.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, recovery processes, and challenges they may encounter during rehabilitation.
  • Meet minimum utilization goals and other practice business objectives as required to support the financial health of the facility.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with peers, ensuring a comprehensive approach for clients receiving various services at Motion Physical Therapy.
  • Actively promote the values and culture of Motion Physical Therapy, contributing to a positive and supportive working environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on pediatric clients whose needs may arise from various conditions, including developmental delays, physical disabilities, and post-injury rehabilitation. Qualifications
  • Hold a Master’s degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
