Working within our corporate infrastructure team, as a Senior Network Specialist you will support the engineering, optimization, and stability of the corporate backbone, campus, and datacenter infrastructure. You will actively contribute to technical discussions to provide insights on how to leverage our WAN backbone to its full capacity. Handling both incident response and day-to-day operations, you will also have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and explore new ideas/concepts, piloting innovation initiatives in line with business requirements.

What you'll be doing:   

  • Work with ISPs, datacenter providers and hardware vendors on a regular basis 
  • Lead the technical execution of infrastructure projects
  • Contribute to the team's projects (70% of your week) 
  • Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to resolve complex troubleshooting issues
  • Participate in WAN expansion projects 
  • Manage the MPLS backbone  
  • Manage the Wi-Fi infrastructure 
  • Support firewall administration and enforce security policies across the network infrastructure
  • Plan and execute lifecycle upgrades 
  • Work with key partners to establish peering at our different internet exchange (IX) and optimize global BGP routing policies. 
  • Design and build new segments in the network as required 
  • Lead incident response efforts by performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing technical remediation to prevent recurrence
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support

What you'll need to be successful:  

Must haves:   

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Expert Level Knowledge of BGP (inet, inet- vpn, inet6 and EVPN families)
  • In depth understanding of Juniper's Junos OS (MX, EX, QFX, SRX)
  • Network Automation knowledge (Python, Ansible, etc.)
  • Expert Level Knowledge of EVPN-MPLS and EVPN-VXLAN
  • Knowledge of VPN/tunnel technologies (IPSec, GRE, etc.)
  • Experience working in a multi-tenant environment (Service Provider/Data Center)
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to execute recovery actions during complex network incidents
  • Experience with Next-Gen firewalls
  • Practical experience with 802.1x Authentication and Radius server management/configuration
  • Experience with Linux server administration, BASH/Python scripting, file system manipulation, etc.
  • Experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS) and Traffic Engineering (TE)

Nice to haves:   

  • JNCIP/JNCIE or CCNP/CCIE certifications 
  • Experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS) and Traffic Engineering (TE) 
  • Experience using Git for managing network configurations and automation scripts 
  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing AWS Direct Connect or GCP Interconnect
