As a member of a growing team, you will participate in all stages of the web development lifecycle and contribute to some of the world's most highly trafficked websites. This role requires proficiency in vanilla JavaScript and a strong desire to deepen expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop new user-facing features.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use while adhering to best practices.
  • Collaborate with UX, Backend, Operations, and other teams to iterate on new features.
  • Write automated tests and apply test-driven development principles.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Optimize website performance and page load speed.
  • Ensure code security and compliance with established standards.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software bugs and defects.
What you'll need to be successful:Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of professional web development experience.
  • Proficiency in vanilla JavaScript, including its quirks and best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Excellent understanding of synchronous and asynchronous requests, promises, and related patterns.
  • Excellent understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance optimization.
  • Excellent understanding of ECMAScript 6 (ES6).
  • Excellent understanding of cross-browser and legacy compatibility issues and methods for addressing them.
  • Basic understanding of CSS preprocessing technologies such as LESS and SASS.
  • Good understanding of modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Vue.js and React.
  • Experience with testing and mocking techniques, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and tools such as Playwright.
Nice to Haves:
  • Good understanding of Node.js and build tools such as Gulp and Webpack.
  • Understanding of adaptive video technologies, virtual reality, and live streaming.
  • Basic understanding of TypeScript.
