Responsibilities

New York Institute of Technology's Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking a Temporary Staff member to assist with Facilities. The Temporary Staff will provide supplemental assistance with facilities on campus at all locations required by the College of Osteopathic Medicine. This role is pivotal in the preparation and maintenance of spaces used by faculty, staff, students, and visitors of the College of Osteopathic Medicine.

  • Preparation of study rooms, common spaces, and other areas for faculty, staff, student, and visitor events that occur on or away from campus.
  • Assist in the setup and/or moving of items in and/or to office spaces within the COM and other applicable areas on the campus.
  • Clean and organize various areas of the COM including but not limited to common areas, study spaces, storage areas, and office spaces.
  • Distribute daily deliveries to specified departments, offices, and/or people on campus.
  • Check post office box daily, sort mail, and deliver to respective offices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and work in overhead spaces.

Ability to work in close quarters and tight spaces.

Excellent communication skills for working with diverse faculty, staff, and student populations.

Ability to work between 10-20 hours per week in a minimum of 2 hour increments between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm CST, Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and before/after hour segments
