Job description

cerebre is on a mission to build the data foundation of the physical world. We offer a live intelligence map of a facilities– built from schematics to power AI. Often called the “brain” of the digital twin, cerebre helps engineers, data scientists, and business teams understand data within the context of the plant.

We collaborate with the world’s largest companies and most innovative partners who are transforming the industrial sector.

cerebre is a global team of engineers, scientists, innovators, and explorers united by a mission to help the world’s largest manufacturing facilities build and use intelligence.

Our development team is made up of world-class engineers who design and deliver novel solutions. This is an opportunity to join a market-leading team that is changing how the industrial world works.

If you love building and creating value in the “white space,” if you thrive with the freedom and flexibility to think outside the box, if you are passionate about working with critical thinkers who challenge the status quo, and if you aspire to work in a fast-paced environment – we would love to meet you!

We believe flexibility drives creativity and that our team should live and work where we can be our best selves. We’re 100% remote and offer a competitive time-off package to ensure time for rest and recharge.

About the role

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of all ongoing implementations of Cerebre technology from pilot through sustainment.

If you need hand -held and a mature project management office set of guidelines to be effective, this isn't the right role for you. If you're the person who builds those things because the work demanded it, keep reading.

Location:

Remote, with strong preference for candidates based in Houston, TX; open to CST/EST time zones

You will be responsible for
  • Leading end-to-end project scoping, planning, and handoff of deliverables.
  • Owning project scope, schedule, budget, quality, customer outcomes, and value realization.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Building trusted relationships with customers and leading clear communication through multiple levels of stakeholder management.
  • Identifying and managing risks, dependencies, scope creep and scope changes through a governed process.
  • Building the playbook for how Cerebre executes across all delivery functions now and into the future.
Required Skills
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years running software, consulting or technology implementation projects, ideally in enterprise or industrial settings
  • Demonstrated ownership of a full project lifecycle: scoping, planning, execution, delivery. Not just coordination or status reporting
  • Direct customer-facing experience, including setting expectations, managing escalations, and pushing back on requests when needed
  • Strong risk and scope management. You can point to specific times you caught a scope change or a slipping dependency early and what you did about it
  • Comfortable working with engineers on technical detail. You don't need to write code, but you need to understand broadly how APIs, data pipelines, and integration work well enough to ask good questions and spot bad assumptions
  • Experience building or improving delivery processes, not just following them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Fluent English, C1 or better
  • Proficiency with project management tooling (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)
  • U.S. based or overlap with U.S. business hours
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in industrial sectors: oil and gas, chemicals, power, manufacturing, utilities, or life sciences
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and plant data (P&IDs, asset registers, tag hierarchies) or OT systems like SCADA, MES, or historians
  • Background delivering AI, ML, data engineering or software projects
  • Experience at an early or high-growth startups
  • Experience with distributed or remote engineering teams
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certification
