Job description

POSITION POSTING
Substitute Salary Schedule
Substitute teachers are limited to working 600 hours per school year.
The Moses Lake School District is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Lifeguard/Lead Lifeguard for the Moses Lake High School Pool.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  1. Responsible for operation and management of the Moses Lake High School swimming pool during specific operating hours.
  2. Works mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, dependent upon pool operations and schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
  2. American Red Cross first / CPR for the professional Rescuer
  3. Willingess to obtain any other certification as desired by the school district.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Respond quickly, effectively, and efficiently to all emergency situations.
  2. Demonstrate leadership and strong customer service/public relations skills.
  3. Understand facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures.
  4. Development and implement Lifeguard in-service trainings.
  5. Perform and document pool safety inspections.
  6. Fully report all accidents and/or concerns involving all aspects of the facility.
  7. Process documents pertaining to revenue, attendance, water quality, incident/accidents, and Lifeguard audits.
  8. Process daily revenue and make deposits.
  9. Complete and process American Red Cross paperwork with the local chapter.
  10. Supervise, evaluate, and schedule Lifeguard staffing.
  11. Monitor the pool water for abnormalities.
  12. Must have excellent attendance.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
